I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately this experience fell well below expectations. There were several issues throughout the journey, but the following were the most concerning. Firstly, the driver’s level of assistance was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, he simply pointed out that there was “no space” for our luggage without offering any help. We had to load and arrange all of our own luggage despite it only consisting of one small suitcase and several bags. Furthermore, although the vehicle was a 10-seater for our group of eight, the rear seats had to be folded down for passengers to enter. Once again, we, as the customers, had to do this ourselves. The driver stood on the opposite side of the vehicle, where no one needed assistance, while everyone was boarding from the safer side along the lobby pavement rather than the main road. Secondly, there was poor communication regarding the pickup. When the driver arrived, we received no notification. After waiting for around 10 minutes, he called asking where we were and informed us that he was waiting in the car park. The pickup location provided was the hotel’s address, so it was only reasonable for us to expect the driver to be waiting at the lobby. We did not have a car and had never been to the building’s car park, so asking us to locate him there was both confusing and inconvenient. Thirdly, our journey from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore was scheduled to begin at 9:30 pm. As this was an overnight journey, everyone was understandably tired and hoping to rest. Unfortunately, the driver repeatedly slapped his thighs and moved along loudly to the rhythm of the music throughout the drive. While we appreciate that he may have been trying to stay alert, the unnecessary noise made it difficult for passengers to rest during a long overnight trip. Another issue was the additional delay charge. Our original departure had to be postponed because one member of our group unexpectedly suffered from food poisoning. We delayed the trip in stages to ensure our friend was well enough to travel safely. We understand that delays may incur additional charges and accepted that. However, when we booked the private transfer, we were informed that the package included up to one hour of meal and rest stops during the journey if required. Throughout the entire trip, we never utilised that one-hour allowance. If the delay policy is enforced so strictly, then it would only seem fair for the unused included hour to also be taken into consideration. Finally, the payment process at the end of the journey was poorly handled. Only after we had arrived at our destination were we informed that payment had to be made strictly in cash. This requirement was never communicated to us in advance. In fact, based on our previous experience using this service, we had been able to pay via PayNow, so we reasonably expected the same payment option to be available. Instead, the driver insisted that he only accepted cash and instructed us to find a bank to withdraw money. This was particularly unreasonable given that it was already late at night. Had our final destination been a residential area rather than a shopping mall, there may not have been an ATM nearby. Would we have been expected to travel elsewhere just to withdraw cash? If so, would the driver have been willing to take us back to our original destination afterwards? We were fortunate that our last stop happened to be at a mall with an ATM, but customers should not have to rely on luck. If cash payment is a strict requirement, it should be clearly communicated before the trip begins so that passengers can prepare accordingly. There were several other minor issues throughout the trip, but we chose not to raise them because we understand that no service is perfect. However, the issues above relate to basic customer service, communication, professionalism, and transparency. They significantly affected what should have been a straightforward private transfer. Our experience was disappointing. We requested to postpone our afternoon pickup by 1 hour, and later requested another 1-hour delay because one of our group members had food poisoning and was suffering from diarrhoea. We understand that changing the pickup time at short notice was inconvenient, and we apologised for it. However, the driver's attitude became slightly agitated and he insisted on charging us an additional S$50. As we had no other choice, we agreed to pay. What disappointed us was that the company informed us that once the driver picked us up, we could stop for a meal and the driver would wait for up to one hour at no extra charge. We never used that one-hour waiting time during the trip, so it was frustrating that there was no flexibility when we faced a genuine medical emergency. Unexpected situations can happen, and we hope the company will handle such cases with more understanding and compassion in the future. We did not use the free service of asking them to wait 1 hr for us to eat, instead we changed the pickup timing to 1 hr later. And was told to be charged $50. After back and forth argument with the company, we gave in and paid the additional $50sgd for that 1 hr. And upon reaching, driver INSIST that we must pay in cash! When previously other drivers from this company allows to Paynow. Isn’t the driver trying to be funny?? Pls be mindful in the future when booking with this company.
